Amy King has been working with medical teams and orphanages throughout Haiti since March 2007. Amy’s photo exhibits combining art and humanity have received critical acclaim and have also been shown near Chicago and the Purdue campus. Additionally, she won the 2010 IndyStar Travel photo contest “People” category with a photo from the Cap Haitien, Haiti, charcoal market. She is the Provocate-Haiti liaison, meaning she is a conduit and exhorter for all things Haiti in the Indianapolis area and beyond. She is excited to lead TVE’s inaugural trip to the country, establishing projects in the arts and economic development. For the past eight years, Amy has used her degree in Nuclear Medical Technology from IU to work for the Veterans Administration Hospital.
