The Village Experience is a socially pro-active business dedicated to uplifting impoverished communities in the developing world through efforts in international trade and tourism. Our customized travel program works with groups to develop the perfect itinerary for their specific needs, whether it be a non profit organization connecting its partners overseas, a yoga community giving back, a student group learning about the global economy, or fair trade professionals meeting their artisans for the first time.

The Village Experience is here to help you plan your journey from start to finish. Our socially responsible travel policy ensures that you are traveling in the most responsible manner possible and giving back to the local economy at the same time.

Here’s how it works:

1. Your Village Experience representative will have an initial conversation with you to determine your needs and get necessary information to begin the customized process.

2. A Letter of Intent will be issued to secure the relationship and get a down payment for the trip.

3. Once the Letter of Intent is received, your Village Experience representative will begin mapping out your itinerary and working on pricing, liability forms, and the registration process specific to your needs.

4. An official itinerary complete with inclusions, visa requirements, vaccination suggestions, packing list, per person pricing, and complete registration packet will be issued. A contract with the payment plan will be established with due dates for the final balance. If your company requires a donation to be priced in, please submit this in writing at the time of submitting the Letter of Intent, and we will be sure to include it and cut you a check after all final payments have been accepted.

5. The Village Experience will be available to accept registration forms and payments either from you, the client, or from the individual travelers themselves. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or checks. We can create a link for private registration and payments through our website if desired.

6. We will work with you to connect to our travel agent that can help you with either group airfare or individual airfare and travel insurance. Once air is purchased, the itinerary needs to be forwarded to us, and we will compile the airport transfer list for our ground operators.

7. A Village Experience representative will be on the ground at the country of destination to coordinate all of your trip logistics from arrival date to departure date.
