TVE Haiti Recycling Center – Goal $25,000!

Join The Village Experience and Off the Mat, Into the World in our fundraising efforts to support Ramase Lajan and Executives Without Borders new recycling program in Haiti. Our goal is to raise $25,000 to start one of these new recycling centers in Jacmel…on the Southern Coast. TVE and OTM began a relationship with various community development groups in Jacmel as part of the Global Seva Challenge in February 2012. Participants have since traveled through TVE back to Haiti to continue efforts and fell in love with this program as a means of cleaning up the city and creating jobs.

This new recycling center will educate the community on the need to clean up trash, encourage them to collect recyclables for money, create local jobs, and hopefully start a trend of setting up recycling centers throughout all of Haiti!
