November 2 – Travel Day. Arrive to Kolkata International Airport. Meet your Village Experience representative and transfer to hotel. Relax and settle into the your space as the rest of the group arrives throughout the evening.
November 3 – Morning yoga: Opening Circle, Intentions, and Chakra Flo in the morning. After breakfast, enjoy a tour of local temples in the area. We will stop-drop-and-meditate at a temple and kick-start our Journal Journey. Enjoy a local lunch experience. Return to hotel for Group Welcome Dinner in the evening. We will close the evening with Journal Journey time. (meals provided: B,L,D)
November 4 – Drive to Bolpur in the morning. Check into community based tourism hotel supported by The Village Experience. Embark on a village walk to learn about initiatives to keep young women in the village and out of the trafficking rings of the big cities. Enjoy the Saturday Artisan Market, which attracts artisans from all over the region showcasing their goods. Relax & restore after a full day with a Sunset Yin Yoga class, Silent Meditation, Journal Journey time, and group bonding. All meals will be at the Women’s Interlink Foundation Community Center. (meals provided: B,L,D)
November 5 – Spend the morning with local artisans in Bolpur. Enjoy a special yoga class in the afternoon: Grounded in Gratitude and experience a Letting Go Fire Ceremony. Take delight in a cultural dance performance in the evening. (meals provided: B,L,D)
November 6 – Morning yoga: Be Here Now | Slo Flo & Yoga Nidra in the village. After breakfast, drive back to Kolkata and check into hotel. Visit the New Market then enjoy a group Farewell Dinner in the evening. (meals provided: B,D)
November 7 – Morning yoga: Lift Your Spirits / A Flo for Depression and Anxiety. Spend the day with Women’s Interlink Foundation at Nijuloy House. Work on a service project, shop fair trade, and enjoy lunch from their Hospitality Training Program. Return to hotel for dinner, Journal Journey time, and overnight. (meals provided: B,L,D)
November 8 – Morning yoga: Open your Heart to Joy | VIBE Flo™. Spend the day with Women’s Interlink Foundation at Child Care Home. Work on a service project, enjoy yoga and henna activities with the girls, and have lunch onsite. Return to hotel for dinner, Journal Journey time, and overnight. (meals provided: B,L,D)
November 9 – After morning yoga, enjoy a free day to get out and explore Kolkata on your own. There are endless markets and cafes to experience, many temples throughout the city, street food to try, the Potter’s Colony to wander around, and green spaces to sit and reflect on the past week. Allow for Journal Journey time. (meals provided: B)
November 10 – Travel Day. Transfer to airport in the morning to board flight to Delhi. Meet your Village Experience representative upon arrival and drive to Agra. Check into hotel for Yoga Nidra, dinner, Journal Journey time, and overnight. (meals provided: B,D)
November 11 – Sunrise tour and Svadhyaya Meditation & Journal Journey time at the Taj Mahal. Embark on a tour of the Agra Fort. Return to hotel for breakfast and check out. Enjoy a coffee/tea stop at Sheroe’s Hangout to support survivors of acid attacks. This cafe is designed to give acid attack survivors the confidence to show their faces in public after being disfigured. Return to Delhi to catch international flights back home. (meals provided: B)
